Optio has been ranked number 1 for Equity Management in Europe on G2 for Summer 2026. Alongside that overall ranking, Optio has received five category badges: High Performer (global), High Performer Europe, High Performer EMEA, Best Results, and Best Usability. Every ranking and badge is determined entirely by verified customer reviews.

Where Optio sits in the Europe Grid

The Europe Grid® for Equity Management Software currently includes products across all four quadrants. J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions sits in the Contenders quadrant, reflecting a strong market presence in the region with a lower satisfaction score. Carta, Ledgy, Eqvista, ShareForce, and Vestd are placed in the Niche quadrant. Optio sits in the High Performers quadrant, the only product there, with the highest satisfaction score in the European regional ranking.

The individual ratings

Across the Europe Grid® for Equity Management Software, Summer 2026, Optio ranks as follows:

  • Rated number 1 for User Satisfaction
  • Rated number 1 for File Sharing
  • Rated number 2 for Ease of Use
  • Rated number 2 for Likelihood to Recommend

User Satisfaction and Likelihood to Recommend are the two dimensions most directly tied to the High Performer placement. Scoring first and second in those categories in the European regional ranking explains why the satisfaction score is as strong as it is. File Sharing and Ease of Use reflect where customers notice the day-to-day quality of the platform, in the tasks they repeat most often.

Global Equity Management

Optio is a high performer globally, not just in Europe. The G2 Grid® for Equity Management Software places Optio in the High Performers quadrant of the global ranking. The global grid includes a broader field of products across all four quadrants, with J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions positioned as the leader by market presence, and a range of other tools spread across the Contenders, Niche, and High Performers areas. Optio's placement in the High Performers quadrant reflects consistent customer satisfaction scores at a global level.

The five badges

High Performer (Global, Europe, and EMEA). Optio scores at the top of the satisfaction dimension across all three scopes. Each ranking draws on the same underlying principle: customers who use the product have reviewed it highly, in sufficient numbers to make the rating statistically meaningful.

Best Results. This badge measures the outcomes customers report achieving with the product. It reflects whether users say the platform has delivered on what it promised, in practice, not just in a demo.

Best Usability. This badge reflects ease of use and how well the product fits into the workflows of the people using it day to day. For equity management software, where plan administrators often carry significant operational load, usability has a real effect on how much time and effort it takes to run a scheme well.

The reviews behind the rankings

Rankings like this only exist because customers take the time to write about their experience. G2 satisfaction scores are built entirely on verified reviews from real users. Every score, badge, and quadrant placement traces back to what customers have said about the product they use every day.

How G2 scoring works

G2 ranks products across two dimensions: customer satisfaction (based on user reviews) and market presence (a measure of market share, seller size, and social impact). Products are placed into one of four quadrants on the Grid: Leaders, High Performers, Contenders, and Niche.

To appear on the Europe Grid® for Equity Management Software at all, a product must have received a minimum of 10 verified reviews from users in the Europe region by 28 April 2026. The satisfaction score is calculated from those regional reviews. The market presence score reflects relative footprint across the whole category.

High Performers occupy the quadrant defined by high satisfaction and lower market presence compared to the rest of the category. G2 publishes its full scoring methodology at research.g2.com/g2-scoring-methodologies.
